St. Anne's School - Titilagarh was started in 1991 by the Sisters of St. Anne, Bengaluru (SAB). The Sisters of St. Anne, Bengaluru is a Congregation of Catholic Nuns which is the embodiment of the dreams and visions of a French Missionary Rt. Rev. Msgr. Stephen Louis Charbonnaux, the great educational visionary of the 19th century and the founder of the St. Anne's Educational Society, who started the first Indian School for Girls in Mysuru in the year 1864. It runs more than 300 schools, and a number of colleges for higher education in India and abroad. These institutions educate millions of students every year.

It is a registered examination centre for the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination - New Delhi (Regd. NO: OR057). It is the first SAB School to attain affiliation to Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination in Balangir District. We are eligible to conduct classes and examination for the Pre - primary (Nursery, LKG and UKG), Primary Level (Classes I-V), and Secondary Level (classes VI-X).

As a CISCE affiliated school, SAST supports to develop learners who are Confident in working with information and ideas their own and those of others. Responsible for themselves, responsible to and respectful of others. Reflective as learners, developing their ability to learn, innovative and equipped for new and future challenges. Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference.

CISCE New Delhi

The CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination) has been so constituted as to secure suitable representation of: Government of India, State Governments/Union Territories in which there are Schools affiliated to the Council, the Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian Education, the Association of Indian Universities, the Association of Heads of Anglo-Indian Schools, the Indian Public Schools’ Conference, the Association of Schools for the ISC Examination and members co-opted by the Executive Committee of the Council.

Curriculum

The CISCE curriculum is theme based, child centred, and focus on using a wide range of learning experiences, sequential arrangement of learning experiences (spiralling) and the curriculum encourages an integrated approach. It provides scope for contextualization, follows a social constructivist approach and encourages development of life skills.

Aim of the CISCE Curriculum

The curriculum aims to enable children to become successful learners who enjoy learning, successfully apply core concepts learnt from various subjects. To understand texts of different subjects so as to communicate knowledge and ideas in ways specific to the subject, articulate thoughts and ideas effectively using oral, written and nonverbal communication skills in a variety of forms and contexts. To use technology to access and provide information and to communicate with others, understand cross-curricular linkages- connect learning across subject areas, become confident individuals who are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. To become responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society, understand and apply knowledge to real life experiences, develop a sense of responsibility towards others, function successfully in the local and world community, respect diversity (in terms of religion, gender, regions, etc. and differences of opinions and beliefs), exhibit sensitivity towards environmental issues and learn to manage and utilise resources judiciously.

Recognition

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations – New Delhi is widely recognized by higher education institutions and employers around the world as evidence of academic achievement. Many universities require a combination of CISCE to meet their entry requirements.

Admission To

  • Institutions in UK, CISCE syllabus are accepted. CISCE English Language qualifications are recognized by a significant number of UK universities as evidence of English language competency for university study.
  • Indian Universities Association of Indian Universities has accorded English of CISCE is higher than any Indian Board Examinations. The candidates intending to join Medical/Engineering Degree programmes are required to have obtained ‘Advanced level passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English.
